This is the English diver Tom Daley, who specialises in the 10 metre platform event and represented Great Britain at the 2008 Olympic Games at the age of 14. He is diving off a platform with a wall of spectators behind him. The artist purposefully painted the spectators with vibrant colours in such a way to evoke the sense of a crowd without the individual figures and faces being seen.
