About this video

Startled Horse by Mark Delf was installed at JCB World Headquarters in Staffordshire in 1990. The life-size bronze sculpture overlooks the lake and is popular with people exercising in the parkland.

A group of students from Denstone College set out to find out about the sculpture's connection to Impressionism, examine the effects of the sculpture's outdoor location, gather local people's opinions, dance, and crack a few jokes. This is their film.

This is one of a series of four minute films produced by schools and young people's groups from across the UK about sculpture local to them.
