About this video
A group of students visit The Usher Gallery in Lincoln to find out about a 3D-printed relief sculpture of a man with his dog, made in 2014 by the artist Oliver Laric. Why did he make a sculpture so clearly inspired by another in the collection?
This is one of a series of four-minute films produced by schools and young people's groups from across the UK about sculpture local to them.
You can learn more about the original sculpture that provided inspiration for Laric's work in another film on Art UK.
The following artwork is another version of The Hunter and the Dog by Gibson named Meleager (the Hunter) after the hero in Greek mythology who hosted the Calydonian boar hunt. This version is part of the collections at Norwich Castle Museum and Gallery.
