About this video

A group of Year 9 students visit The Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge to find out what they could about a sculpture by the Impressionist painter Edgar Degas. How was it made and how realistic is the sculpture? Why did Degas not exhibit any of these sculptures during his lifetime?

This is one of a series of films made in collaboration with young people across the UK, who explore and express their views on sculpture in public collections.
