We try our utmost to locate and contact all copyright holders before reproducing their artworks on the site and we take this responsibility very seriously. Despite our best efforts, it may not have proved possible to trace every copyright holder.
Artworks for which the copyright holder cannot be traced are known as 'orphan works'. We assess each orphan work after our research is completed and sometimes choose to reproduce these works on the site after documenting our efforts to trace any rights holders.
