Jennifer Scott is the Director of Dulwich Picture Gallery, and was formerly Director of the Holburne Museum, Bath, and Curator of Paintings at Royal Collection Trust. She previously worked in the curatorial departments of The National Gallery, London and National Museums Liverpool.
She has curated numerous exhibitions including 'Bruegel: Defining a Dynasty', 'Impressionism: Capturing Life', 'Dutch Landscapes' and 'Bruegel to Rubens: Masters of Flemish Painting'. Her first curated exhibition at Dulwich Picture Gallery is 'Rembrandt's Light'. Opening in October 2019, it marks 350 years since Rembrandt's death with an innovative exploration of the incomparable Dutch Master.
She has published widely on the Dutch and Flemish golden age and her book The Royal Portrait: Image and Impact (2010) is the first survey of state portraiture in the British Royal Collection.
Jennifer took her BA and MA in the History of Art at the Courtauld Institute, University of London. She is a Member of the Board of Compton Verney, Governor of Alleyn's School, Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and a Fellow Commoner of Lucy Cavendish College, University of Cambridge.
