A jar created from terracotta, with coloured slips, oxides, clear and honey glaze. There is a repeated image of a man urinating. The image is taken from a watercolour by D. H. Lawrence called 'Dandelions'. Bayliss has used a combination of commercial coloured slips (liquid clay poured on to the pots). This design has two layers, with masked areas, clear glazes (there is completely clear glaze on most of the pot, with some iron-rich honey glaze over the rim, which gives the red slip a more rusty colour), and brushed oxides (the man is painted with a combination of oxides to make black, and the tree is pure copper oxide, which turns green in oxidation).
