Janette Ayachi is a Scottish-Algerian poet. She is a regular on BBC arts programmes, collaborates with artists, and performs at festivals internationally. Her poetry, prose and essays have been published in a broad range of newspapers and anthologies. Her first full poetry collection, Hand Over Mouth Music (Pavilion, Liverpool University Press), won the Saltire Poetry Book of the Year Literary Award 2019. Her poetry book QuickFire, Slow Burning (Pavilion, LUP), is due for publication in 2024.
