Carola Huttmann is a writer, reader, book reviewer and independent scholar living in Orkney. She holds an MLitt in Literature from the University of the Highlands and Islands. In 2013, she won the inaugural George Mackay Brown Short Story Prize, and was shortlisted for the same prize in 2015. Her research interests include art and art history, displacement and loss of identity in fiction, belonging and identity, disability, climate change and the environment. Carola's work has appeared on websites and in literary anthologies and journals both online and in print.
