Painter and draughtsman, teacher, born in Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland. After studying at the local Polytechnic, 1971–5, attended Chelsea School of Art, 1975–6. She won an Arts Council Award in 1977, a year after becoming a professional artist. As well as teaching, including London University and in adult education, she interviewed for the Imperial War Museum. Mixed shows included Peter Stuyvesant Northern Painters & Sculptors, Sunderland Arts Centre, 1974; New Contemporaries, International Art Centre, and John Moores Liverpool Exhibition, both 1976; and Summer Show 1 at Serpentine Gallery, 1982. In 1981 had a solo show at The Gallery, Brixton. Lived in London.
