Painter, printmaker and businessman, born in Falkirk, Stirlingshire, where he was a director of the colour-printing firm Thomas Paul Ltd. Was also president of Falkirk Art Club for about a decade from 1938 and a collector of early Scottish paintings. Exhibited RSA, RSW, SSA and in Canada. Lived latterly for some years at Eggington, Bedfordshire.
