Painter, draughtsman, coloured wood relief maker and teacher, born in London, the grandson of the artist Edward Wadsworth. He said that his subject “has always been the same, people and their houses – where they work and where they play.” After reading French and German at Oxford he studied at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts from 1960–3. By 1973 he was head of department at Maidstone College of Art, later teaching part-time at Bristol Polytechnic. After a solo show at Whitechapel Art Gallery in 1971, followed by shows at Felicity Samuel Gallery, 1972–7, there were several abroad. Was included in 5 Modern British Artists, Mark Glazebrook, 1983. Lived in Nettlecombe, Avon.
